Urs Koller ist ein Schweizer Künstler, Bildhauer und Maler mit Atelier in Rorschach am Bodensee.
Sein künstlerischer Weg ist geprägt von klassischer Bildhauerei, einem feinen Gespür für Materialität und einer offenen, zeitgenössischen Haltung. Neben seinem eigenen Werk ist er als Initiant und künstlerischer Leiter internationaler Kunstprojekte tätig und verbindet Kunst, Öffentlichkeit und kreativen Austausch.
Urs Koller ist ein Schweizer Künstler, Bildhauer und Maler, geboren am 13. September 1968, mit Lebensmittelpunkt in Rorschach am Bodensee.
Seine künstlerische Ausbildung absolvierte er an der Académie de la Grande Chaumière sowie an der École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, wo er eine fundierte Grundlage in klassischer Bildhauerei und freier künstlerischer Arbeit entwickelte. Diese prägende Zeit legte den Grundstein für ein Werk, das handwerkliche Präzision mit einer offenen, zeitgenössischen Haltung verbindet.
Als Bildhauer arbeitet Urs Koller mit einer grossen Bandbreite an Materialien und Ausdrucksformen.
Von dauerhaften Werkstoffen wie Stein, Holz, Metall oder Bronze bis hin zu vergänglichen Materialien wie Sand, Eis oder Schnee steht stets der direkte Dialog mit dem Material im Zentrum. Seine Arbeiten entstehen aus dem Prozess heraus und reflektieren Fragen von Körper, Raum, Präsenz und Vergänglichkeit.
Neben seinem eigenen künstlerischen Schaffen engagiert sich Urs Koller seit vielen Jahren für den internationalen Austausch in der Kunst.
Als Initiant und künstlerischer Leiter von Skulpturen- und Kunstprojekten bringt er Kunst in den öffentlichen Raum und schafft Plattformen für Begegnung zwischen Künstlerinnen, Künstlern und Publikum. Sein Werk ist national wie international ausgestellt und kontinuierlich gewachsen – dokumentiert in einem umfangreichen künstlerischen Werdegang.

Stimmen aus Kunst, Kultur und Öffentlichkeit zum Schaffen des Schweizer Künstlers.
Die Arbeiten von Urs Koller werden seit vielen Jahren von Kunstschaffenden, Kuratoren und Kulturinstitutionen wahrgenommen und besprochen. Als Schweizer Künstler verbindet er klassische Bildhauerei mit einer eigenständigen zeitgenössischen Bildsprache. Seine Skulpturen und Gemälde entstehen im direkten Dialog mit Material, Raum und Ausdruck und haben sowohl in Ausstellungen als auch in öffentlichen Kunstprojekten Aufmerksamkeit erhalten.
In Rezensionen und Stimmen aus der Kunstwelt wird besonders die Verbindung von handwerklicher Präzision, künstlerischer Intuition und experimenteller Offenheit hervorgehoben.
